Our catalog is Rights Managed, and is not Royalty-Free. Rights Managed means that our artists (and sometimes their labels) retain the ownership of the copyright of their music.
Q: Why should I use Rights Managed music?
Using a Rights Managed catalog gives you access to high quality music for your projects. We love that our artists retain the ownership of their music because it also means that they can continue to earn royalties and revenue from their craft even outside of Musicbed!
Q: Does this mean I will get claims on YouTube?
Any copyrighted work will receive claims on YouTube, even outside of Musicbed. While licensing gives you the legal right to use the artist’s work in your project it does not mean that monetization revenue While this does mean that our music will get flagged by YouTube’s ContentID system, if you have a Musicbed subscription, we will clear claims quickly and seamlessly with SyncID so you can continue to monetize your videos.
NOTE: SyncID is a benefit exclusive to our subscribers. Our Single Song licenses grant you the right to use our music in your projects, however, they do not include monetization. So projects using Single Song licenses will not be eligible for copyright claim clearance.
